The 49ers, which holds the unprecedented record in NFL Super Bowl team standings with 5 wins and 0 losses, also boosted the pro football careers of QB Steve Young who holds the record in most touchdown passes in a game and is Super Bowl 1995 MVP, and WR Jerry Rice, Super Bowl 1989 MVP and record holder for most touchdowns and most points in a career, and most touchdowns in a game along with Roger Craig and Ricky Watters, also of San Francisco, and Terrel Davis of Denver (Broncos).

More recently, Tom Brady is another name with potential to become a legend. This New England Patriots QB is a two-time Super Bowl MVP in three NFL pro football seasons and already holds the record for most passes completed in a game, from Super Bowl XXXVIII 2004, and third highest completion percentage in a career.
